nuTsie 2010 GRAMMY WINNERS PLAYLIST
In case you missed it, the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards were last night, meaning this was the night for record execs and other industry types to put on a tux and a brave face and hope that one of their acts takes home a golden gramophone…each of which translates into actual cash money in increased sales.
Highlights included Beyonce’s Robocop-meets-Fembot medley of her “If I Were a Boy” and Alanis Morrisette’s angst-filled “You Oughta Know” and the 3D tribute to the late Michael Jackson.
Lowlights included a whole bunch of overblown yet paradoxically stale performances (the Jamie Foxx, T-Pain, Doug E. Fresh debacle was not enhanced by Slash’s “November Rain” addition), the Best New Artist Category (how can an album released in 2007 be nominated?) and Britney’s hideous get-up.
So bypass the red carpet and enjoy what used to be so great about the Grammys: the music.
